San Diego Mensa is a local chapter of American Mensa, which is a part of Mensa International. The only requirement for membership is testing in the top 2% on any of a number of standardized intelligence tests. We have about 800 members in San Diego and Imperial Counties, California. There are about 50,000 Mensans in the United States, and about 100,000 worldwide.

We hold a number of Social and Professional Networking Events (many sponsored by Special Interest Groups) where we engage in fun-filled and intellectually stimulating activities and take advantage of the many things to do in the San Diego area. We also reach out to Gifted Children, and we even perform some Community Services.
